PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

Taylor Taska

Taylor grew up in Kingwood, earning all-district honors on the high school diamond before playing his college baseball at Texas A&M University–Kingsville while studying accounting and finance. His career there was one for the record books — literally. Playing pitcher and first base, he set numerous school records and was named the program's Player of the Decade.

His honors include Conference Player of the Year, South Central Region Player of the Year, Daktronics First-Team All-American, and Rawlings All-American. In 2013 he was named Texas Collegiate Player of the Year and finished runner-up for National Player of the Year. Away from the facility, Taylor enjoys traveling and catching live sporting events.

Coach Jesse Holiday

Jesse Holiday

Head Coach

Coach Jesse Holiday is a Sugar Land, Texas native who played his high school ball at Kempner High School before continuing his career at Southern University. After college, he took his game to the professional ranks in independent baseball, suiting up for the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League and the Sonoma Stompers of the Pacific Association.

Coach Wilmy Marrero

Wilmy Marrero

Head Coach

Coach Wilmy Marrero brings more than a decade of coaching and player development experience to Summit. A Houston native with deep Dominican roots, he was a four-year letterman at Pasadena High School, then played collegiately at Texas Southern, Alvin Community College, and Southern University, competing two seasons at the Division I level and earning First Team All-Conference and All-Tournament honors. When an arm injury ended his playing career, it sparked a new passion: he began coaching at Southern University, and has since spent 12+ years in the Houston select baseball community working with players from 8U to 17U. His mission is simple — fundamentally sound ballplayers, confident young leaders, and athletes who maximize their potential on and off the field.

Coach Euro Diaz Jr.

Euro Diaz Jr.

Head Coach

A Houston-area product, Coach Euro Diaz Jr. starred at J. Frank Dobie High School, earning first-team all-district honors three straight seasons (2015–2017) and taking home District MVP in 2017. He went on to Angelina Junior College, where he was a two-time first-team all-conference selection, then finished his college career at Shawnee State University. From 2022 to 2025 he played professional baseball with the Northern Colorado Owlz, earning an All-Star nomination in 2025. Over 747 career professional plate appearances, he hit .313 with 234 hits, 45 doubles, 131 RBIs, and a .412 slugging percentage.

Coach Alex Diaz

Alex Diaz

Head Coach

Coach Alex Diaz has competed at both the NCAA Division I and professional levels. A former catcher at Texas Southern University, a 2018 SPC state champion at Second Baptist School, and a 2023–24 Western Division champion as a pro, he currently plays professional baseball — giving him firsthand knowledge of the dedication, discipline, and mindset the game demands at its highest levels. As a coach, Alex develops complete athletes through fundamentals, baseball IQ, mental toughness, and character, building a competitive environment where players are challenged to improve every day and grow in confidence on and off the field.

Coach Raffi Gross Jr.

Raffi Gross Jr.

Head Coach

Coach Raffi Gross Jr. graduated from Episcopal High School in 2021 after playing for the U16 USA developmental team. At New Mexico Junior College he earned all-conference honorable mention and played in the Texas/New Mexico JUCO All-Star Game. Now a professional player, he collected All-Star, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, and League MVP honors in just his first year of pro ball. Raffi works with athletes of every age and specializes in defensive work and hitting mechanics.

Coach Isaac Garcia

Isaac Garcia

Head Coach

Coach Isaac Garcia's baseball story starts earlier than most — he played in the Little League World Series with Pearland Little League before starring as a pitcher and third baseman at Pearland High School. He went on to a four-year college pitching career, spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Galveston College and his junior and senior years at the NCAA Division I level with Texas Southern University. With 17 years of playing experience, including time with C2 Baseball, Isaac specializes in pitching development.

Coach Mike Granson

Mike Granson

Head Coach

Coach Mike Granson attended Austin Westlake High School before transferring to Fort Bend Elkins, graduating in 2019. He continued his baseball career at Grambling State University, earning his business degree and later an MBA from Jarvis University, then began a master's in architecture at Prairie View A&M. On the field he did a bit of everything — infield, outfield, and pitching — building an understanding of the game from every angle. Mike is passionate about helping young ballplayers grow in skill, confidence, and character, both on and off the field.

Coach Daniel Garza

Daniel Garza

Head Coach

Coach Daniel Garza is a Houston-area product out of J. Frank Dobie High School who went on to pitch and play the infield at UTSA. A two-year team captain for the Roadrunners, he brings a leader's voice and a two-way player's feel for the game — on the mound and in the dirt — to Summit's young athletes.

Coach EJ Alanis

EJ Alanis

Assistant Coach

Coach EJ Alanis graduated from Edinburg High School in 2019 as a pitcher and corner infielder, then spent a year at a postgraduate academy in Tomball to keep developing his game. That work earned him a spot at Minot State University as a right-handed pitcher and infielder, followed by two seasons at first and third base for Ranger Junior College and a finish to his playing career at Texas Southern University, primarily at first base. He stayed on at Texas Southern as a graduate assistant, working with position players on both sides of the ball — and in 2026 the offense he helped coach led the SWAC in team batting average. EJ strives to create an environment where players grow as athletes, teammates, and people.

Coach Jarius "JT" Taylor

Jarius "JT" Taylor

Assistant Coach

Coach Jarius Taylor — JT to his players — is a former Division I baseball player and dedicated player development coach committed to helping young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field. An outfielder and second baseman at Fort Bend Marshall High School, he continued his career at Boston College, where he competed at the NCAA Division I level. Coach JT specializes in hitting, fielding, speed development, and agility training, emphasizing strong fundamentals, athleticism, and baseball IQ.

Coach Zarian Forde

Zarian Forde

Assistant Coach

Coach Zarian Forde graduated from Westside High School in 2019 and St. Edward's University in 2023, patrolling center field at both stops. Coaching since the fall of 2020, he's focused on passing along the knowledge and experience he picked up on and off the field so his players can build long, successful baseball careers of their own.

Coach Richard Mabrey

Richard Mabrey

Assistant Coach

Coach Richard Mabrey grew up in Kingwood, where he first found his love for baseball. At Allen High School he saw the game from all over the diamond as a pitcher, first baseman, and third baseman, then went on to compete at the college level in volleyball as a setter. At Summit he specializes in pitching and hitting instruction. Away from the field, you'll find him on the golf course, at the poker table, or out on the water fishing.
